Emergency Capital Grant Program for Early Care and Education and Out-of-School Time Programs

Deadline
Begins July 1, 2009
Description

The Children’s Investment Fund announces a new grant program to address emergency facility needs, with a focus on health and safety, regulatory compliance, and retooling programs so they can survive in this challenging economic environment.

Funding Priorities:

Priority One
• Building emergencies (e.g. roof leak, loss of heat)
• Repairs or renovations to meet licensing regulations or address health or safety concerns.

Priority Two
• Program consolidation to help keep your program financially viable (e.g. combining classrooms or closing an under-enrolled site).
• Energy efficient renovations to reduce operating costs and improve the health of children and adults in the program.
• Facility improvements to meet accreditation standards.
