FUNDING ALERT
Out-of School Time Facilities Planning GrantsThe Children’s Investment Fund and BOSTnet will issue an RFP for planning grants to improve OST indoor and outdoor facilities on October 1. Planning grants are intended to help develop your preliminary idea for a facility improvement project into a solid plan. Applicants may seek planning grants for program expansion or improvement projects. The maximum grant is $15,000.
Timing: The RFP will be posted on the Fund’s website at www.cccif.org and BOSTnet’s website at www.bostnet.org on October 1. Proposals will be due on October 30, 2008.
Eligibility: Non-profit OST programs in Massachusetts that serve low income children between the ages of 5 and 14 years; more specifically, at least 50% of your enrollment must be eligible for subsidies from the Department of Early Education and Care.
Bidders Conferences to describe the application process and to answer questions will be offered on the following dates:

October 2, 11:00 am: Square One, 947 Main St, in Springfield, MAOctober 6, 10:00 am: Jackie Jenkins Scott Building, 2nd Floor, Dimock Community Health Center, 1800 Columbus Avenue, in Boston, MA
October 8, 10:00 am: Child Care Circuit, 190 Hampshire Street, in Lawrence, MA
