Phase 2 Schools Selected
PSS has selected the next round of five schools for Year 2 of Initiative. Five new MELS will be hired by March to work in Phase 2 Schools. If you or someone you know may be interested in the position, please go to www.boston.k12.ma.us for more information about how to apply.
Family Engagement
PSS is working with Families First to develop and implement a family engagement plan. The family engagement plan will align with and build upon each PSS school’s outreach, communication, and family support activities and systems.

- Achieve-Boston and Boston Beyond launches the School-Age and Youth Development (SAYD) pilot
- Arts & Culture, Sports and Environment Showcase a Great Success! Twenty-eight Boston Public School staff and principals meet with thirty OST program providers in this year's showcase
- Providers Arts Resource Center for OST Network Praticioners. Boston Beyond and Extras for Creative Learning, (ExCL) a recycle materials distribution center for educators and artists have partnered to create the Providers Arts Resource Center (P.A.R.C.) for OST network practitioners.
